The Cane Corso has proven to be an unequaled watch and protection dog. It is very intelligent and trainable. The Cane Corso has a very stable temperament. It is not a fighting dog and will not go out “looking” for a fight. They will, however, stand their ground against other dogs who try to dominate them The Cane Corso is an amenable companion but requires an owner who is firm, confident, and consistent, setting directives that the dog must follow and placing clear limits on what the dog can and cannot do.
