The Pembroke Welch Corgi was an essential helper to the
farmers of South Wales. Although they specialized in
herding cattle, they were most certainly used in herding
sheep, and even Welsh ponies. The Pembroke is somewhat
smaller than the Cardigan, and unlike the Cardigan it
has no tail. The Pembroke makes an excellent house pet
and is just as happy in an urban flat or apartment as on
a country estate. |
