The Scottish
Terrier hails from the rocky area of Aberdeen, Scotland,
and was bred to hunt foxes and weasels hiding in their
burrows. The most well-known Scotty in America was
Fala, the beloved Scottish Terrier owned by President
Franklin D. Roosevelt. Nicknamed 'The Diehard' in
reference to its rugged character, and familiar to many
through the labels of Scotch whisky, the little Scottie
remains a fixture of the Terrier Group. |
