The Miniature
Pinscher is often thought to be a small version of the
Dobermann Pinscher. The "minipin", however, is the older
of the two breeds, and actually contributed to the
development of the Dobermann in the nineteenth century.
Originating in Germany this breed has worked as a ratter
and as a good barking watchdog. These dogs came to the
United States in 1920, and soon gained much popularity
as a house pet and watchdog. |
