In the past  100 years the Boxer has reached its greatest perfection in Germany. The Boxer is cousin to practically all recognized breeds of the Bulldog type. Although originally a hunting dog, this breed has a smart appearance, agility, and intelligence which has rapidly made it popular not only as a companion and show dog, but also as a police and military dog. Its devotion to his loved ones makes it a superb watch-dog.
